Adult Sports

The Adult Sports program offers men and women an opportunity to participate in organized leagues in a recreational setting. Divisional classifications range from top-flight play to novice level leagues in basketball, softball, soccer and volleyball.  

Year-round league play is in the winter, summer, and fall. Registration is taken on a team basis only. A players interest list is compiled for individuals who are seeking to join a team.

To receive the $26 resident discount, teams must prove that 75% of rostered players live or work in Burbank .
Individuals interested in playing on a team can be placed on a Player Interest list. This list will be distributed to teams needing players. There is no guarantee of placement on a team.

Drop-In sports are offered for those looking to share the spirit of competition without the structure of league play.  All levels of competition are welcome.  Free play is offered in badminton, basketball, dodgeball, pickleball, tennis, and volleyball.

The Parks & Recreation Department offers adults a full scope of officiating opportunities in youth & adult fastpitch softball, adult slow-pitch softball, youth baseball, youth flag football, youth& adult basketball, and youth & adult volleyball.    Currently recruiting officials for all sports.  Register now for Umpire Training. 

Adults interested in officiating can earn up to $65 per game. Officials are required to attend classroom training, and pass a practical exam.    All officials must have livescan background check with the City of Burbank.
