City-Sponsored Art Installation

City Sponsored Installations are developed as a result of the Art in Public Places Ordinance, as dictated in the Burbank Municipal Code Title 10 Section 1 Article 114. 

The Burbank Art in Public Places Ordinance was passed in May of 1992. It requires that 1% of major construction project costs be allocated towards on site art, or if desired, be placed in the Public Art Fund, which is utilized to enhance or maintain art located on public land. The following are a brief selection from the over 30 City Sponsored Art Installations developed through the Public Art Fund:
