The City of Burbank is proud to offer automated, instant-solar and battery storage system (ESS) permits for single family residential installations via our partnership with Symbium Corp.
Symbium's online, automated permitting platform automatically verifies code compliance and prepares a ready-to-issue permit for roof-mounted single-family residential installations no larger than 38.4 kW.

To qualify your project must be a Single-Family Residential installation, no larger than 38.4kW. If your project is Multi-Family, Commercial, or greater than 38.4 kW, apply for a traditional plan reviewed permit.

Start with entering the project address in the search bar above. It is important to note that applicants will need to use the same email address used in Step 3 for registering on BOP and will need the Solar Confirmation Number granted by BWP in Step 2.
