Burbank Defers to the Los Angeles County Face Covering Order

Burbank, CA (May 6, 2021) – As Los Angeles County moves into the COVID-19 Yellow Tier lifting restrictions, the City of Burbank has terminated their Face Covering Order (PDF) and will follow the Los Angeles County Order. The proclamation of termination took effect May 6, 2021, at 12:01 a.m.

The Los Angeles County Order outlines when persons can go without a mask in public and only applies to those who are fully vaccinated. 

Those who can go without a mask are able to do so when outdoors, vaccinated, and are:

• Alone
• With members of your household
• With a small group of people that you know are fully vaccinated
• With a small group of people who are not fully vaccinated and not at higher risk of severe illness or death from COVID-19

There are still many requirements for wearing masks indoors and outdoors in certain situations.  Please review the LA County fact sheet for specific information.
