City of Burbank 2022 Community Opinion Survey Results

9 out of 10 say Burbank is an excellent, or good place to live

Burbank, CA (July 13, 2022) – In April 2022, the City of Burbank contracted FM3 Research to conduct a Community Opinion Survey. Participants were asked to rate their views on a variety of topics, including the direction of the City, city services, and perception of issues like homelessness and affordable housing. FM3 contacted City of Burbank registered voters at random by telephone, email, or text message and invited them to participate in the survey. 590 total interviews were conducted by telephone and online, and the survey was offered in three languages - English, Spanish, and Armenian.

FM3 Research found the survey results to be overwhelmingly positive for the City of Burbank. The data revealed residents’ overall satisfaction with Burbank on a variety of topics such as public safety, library and trash pick-up services, well-maintained parks, streets and sidewalks, as well as the city’s communication efforts and small town feel. The data also showed that residents were supportive of policies that address homelessness and affordable housing.
“I am very pleased with the results of the Community Opinion Survey, and even more excited to learn that nine-in-ten residents said Burbank is an excellent or good place to live,” said City Manager Justin Hess. “These positive data points and views about the work we’re doing in the City are a reflection of the advocacy from our City Council Members and the hard work of our City staff,” said City Manager Justin Hess.

The City of Burbank previously conducted two Community Surveys in 2001 and 2010. To view the full results of the 2022 Community Survey, click here.
