City of Burbank Celebrate the Grand Opening of the Hollywood Way Clark Community Garden

Burbank, CA (February 10, 2025) – The City of Burbank, in partnership with the Los Angeles Community Garden Council (LACGC), invites the community to celebrate the grand opening of the Hollywood Way/Clark Community Garden with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at 3705 West Clark Avenue, Burbank, CA. This event is free and open to the public.

Local supporters, volunteers, and city officials will gather to mark this milestone in community-driven sustainability, recognizing the partnership between the City of Burbank and LACGC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to developing and maintaining urban green spaces.

“The highly anticipated Hollywood Way/Clark Community Garden is a testament to what we can achieve when we come together to invest in a greener future,” said Mayor Nikki Perez. “This garden will not only provide fresh produce for the community but also create a space for neighbors to connect and care for our shared environment.”

“The launch of the Hollywood Way/Clark Community Garden represents another step forward in our commitment to sustainability, healthy living, and community engagement,” said Marisa Garcia, Parks and Recreation Department Director. “This space will provide residents with an opportunity to grow fresh produce, connect with neighbors, and foster a greener Burbank.”

This is the second community garden established through the partnership between the City of Burbank, LACGC, and Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. The first garden, located at 1141 North Pass Avenue, opened in June 2022 and has since become a valued resource for local residents.

A Day of Celebration and Community
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees are invited to participate in a variety of hands-on activities, including, planting new greenery, building garden beds, and spreading mulch. Volunteers are encouraged to bring work gloves if they plan to participate. Additionally, children’s activities will be available, making this a family-friendly celebration. The Hollywood Way/Clark Community Garden will serve as a vital space for environmental education, urban agriculture, and community bonding, reinforcing Burbank’s dedication to sustainability and green initiatives.
