City of Burbank to Host Second Workshop for the Media District Specific Plan Update on Wednesday, October 19th

Burbank, CA (October 10, 2022) – The City of Burbank hosted its first public workshop for the Media District Specific Plan Update on September 28 and has made great progress.  

Updates to the plan will focus on developing and implementing policies and programs to remove barriers to housing production, streamline the permitting process, and introduce practical design standards for new development. This means opportunities to foster a stronger jobs/housing balance within a safe, beautiful, and thriving community that embraces future mobility investments.   

We encourage the public to participate in this process. Our second public workshop will focus on land use concepts and placemaking to ensure new development is compatible with and enhances the existing neighborhood character. As part of this, we would like your input on potential building types and characteristics for the Media District.
