East Olive Avenue Paving Restriping Project Information
As part of the City of Burbank’s Street Paving Program, the Community Development and Public Works Departments will repave portions of East Olive Avenue above Glenoaks Boulevard and implement striping changes. The purpose of this restriping project is to enhance roadway safety for all users by introducing a new striping configuration that is more compatible for a residential street.
The restriping will narrow vehicle lanes, add a wide painted median / turn lane between Glenoaks Boulevard and Sunset Canyon Drive, and restripe the four-lane portion of Olive to two lanes between Glenoaks and Kenneth Road.
The painted median / turn lane will also provide valuable information that the City will be utilize to examine a possible future Complete Streets Plan project to implement a landscaped median along this segment of East Olive Avenue.
You are invited to attend two community meetings to hear more about these planned restriping changes of East Olive Avenue.
