Garage Fire Leads to Death Investigation

Burbank, CA (July 13, 2020) – An early morning structure fire has led to the discovery of a deceased person inside a residential garage.

On July 13, 2020, at about 3:10 a.m., Burbank Fire and Police Departments responded to a report of a residential structure fire in the 500 block of North Parish Place. When crews arrived, they found a single story garage fully involved with fire. Firefighters worked quickly to attack the fire and limit its spread to nearby homes and structures. The fire was brought under control and declared a knock down at about 3:42 a.m.

While performing a search during the fire attack, firefighters discovered a deceased person inside of the garage. Burbank Police Detectives are currently on-scene, investigating.

The cause of the fire is still unknown and the identity of the deceased has not been determined.

There were no other injuries reported.
