Notice: Water Main Construction on Buena Vista Street

Please be advised of a scheduled water main project on Buena Vista St from Chandler Blvd to West Burbank Blvd beginning December 2, 2024 through January 27, 2025. Construction work will occur during the hours of 8:30AM to 3:00PM Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen weather conditions. 

Traffic restrictions

Impacts to traffic include reduced lanes for Northbound and Southbound traffic on Buena Vista St. from Burbank Blvd to Chandler Blvd, reduced lanes for Eastbound traffic on Burbank Blvd from Frederic St to Buena Vista St, and a half road closure for Westbound and Eastbound traffic on Chandler Blvd at Buena Vista St. Detours will be provided for the half road closure. There will be no impact to sidewalks during this time.

Street Parking

“No Parking Anytime” signs will be posted with the dates and times of parking restrictions. Driveways may temporarily be blocked during construction only.

Type of Work

Construction activities may include jackhammering, saw cutting of asphalt, and other tools that generate noise and vibration. We will work to minimize any inconvenience to residents.

Water Service Impact

There will be no impact on water pressure during this construction. There will be a brief 10-15 minute temporary service interruption at the end of the project as we transfer service to the new water main.
