Starlight Bowl Transformation Project Kicks Off with Community Workshops
Burbank, CA (April 22, 2025) – This month, the City of Burbank is kick-starting an effort to transform the iconic Starlight Bowl venue into a revitalized venue within the City’s Park system. The City will be hosting two workshops for community members to share the latest concepts and solicit feedback from stakeholders. At the workshops, attendees will be able to view concepts and engage in facilitated discussions with other community members to shape the future of the venue.
The workshop will be offered twice, presenting identical information each time:
Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 6PM – 8PM
Joslyn Adult Center – 1301 West Olive Avenue
Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 9AM – 11AM
Community Services Building, Room 104 – 150 North Third Street
Over the past few years, the City has explored possibilities for the Starlight Bowl, aiming to enhance its accessibility and functionality while honoring its legacy as a cherished community venue. Working with national experts, the City has examined the operations, design, transportation, and other aspects of the venue based on best practices for civic and community performance venues.
These initial workshops will be the first in a series coming later this year that includes programming, access, and traffic, and updated concepts. Additionally, community members can provide input via an online survey and at community events around the City.
