Strong Windstorm Advisory
The City of Burbank is encouraging residents to prepare for the extreme winds the area through Wednesday, January 8, and potentially into Thursday, January 9. Sustained winds from 35-40 MPH and gusts ranging from 50-60 MPH are expected. The strong winds, low humidity, and dry conditions, may create hazardous situations, including an increased risk of wildfires, fallen trees, and power outages.

Safety Precautions:
-Stay clear of downed power lines. Call 9-1-1.
-Prepare flashlights, spare batteries, and emergency supplies.
-Fully charge essential devices like phones and laptops and consider a battery-powered radio.
-Stay alert & follow instructions from emergency officials.
