HIGH WINDS AND RED FLAG UPDATES

Official City of Burbank page dedicated to emergency updates, resources, and advisories related to the ongoing high winds and surrounding fires throughout Los Angeles County

The City of Burbank is encouraging residents to prepare for extreme winds in the area through Wednesday, January 8, and potentially into Thursday, January 9. Sustained winds from 35-40 MPH and gusts ranging from 50-60 MPH are expected. The strong winds, low humidity, and dry conditions, may create hazardous situations, including an increased risk of wildfires, fallen trees, and power outages.

*Due to heavy traffic, users may experience delayed processing times when signing up for Alert Burbank. We appreciate your patience.
