Media District Specific Plan Update

The City of Burbank (City), in partnership with the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), is updating the Media District Specific Plan. This update will focus on developing and implementing policies and programs to remove barriers to housing production, streamline the permitting process and introduce practical design standards for new development. For residents and individuals employed within the Burbank Media District, this means opportunities to foster a stronger jobs/housing balance within a safe, beautiful, and thriving community that embraces future mobility investments.

The goals of the Media District Specific Plan Update include:

• Encouraging high quality, more contextually compatible development in the Media District; 
• Identifying sites for residential development with better access to public infrastructure and               transportation
• Developing practical design standards based on community feedback
