Safer Streets Burbank

About Safer Streets Burbank

The City of Burbank is committed to improving street safety to reduce fatalities and serious injuries through the creation of the Safer Streets Burbank program. The Safer Streets Burbank Action Plan is a comprehensive plan to identify roadway safety issues and prioritize improvements within the City.

The Safer Streets Burbank Action Plan will outline key policies and infrastructure projects for the City to implement as it seeks to make the streets more welcoming for all people and modes. These projects will streamline and focus implementation of the existing Complete Streets Plan, address immediate safety concerns with quick-build projects, and provide proof-of-concept for  permanent infrastructure.

Community Engagement Opportunities

Staff will host a Community Workshop on January 16, 2025, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Community Services Building (150 N. Third St.) in room 104. To see the invitation in Spanish or Armenian, please click here.

Interactive Map

Development of the Safer Streets Program relies directly upon collision data and geographic mapping of the most serious roadway collisions. Staff developed a map of corridors to be prioritized based on collision history, called the Safer Streets Burbank Focus Network.

The data-driven Focus Network can be found at the link here. Community members are encouraged to provide feedback, anecdotes, concerns, and ideas on the interactive mapping feedback tool.
