The City of Burbank is committed to ensuring compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other non-discriminatory authorities, such that no person shall be discriminated on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other category protected by State or Federal law.

how to file a complaint
Any person who believes they have been discriminated against on the basis of race, color or national origin may file a Title VI complaint with the City of Burbank Title VI Coordinator. The complaint must be filed within 180 calendar days of the date of the alleged discrimination. To file a formal complaint, please submit a written Title VI complaint form to:

Complainants will receive a written response acknowledging receipt of the complaint. City staff will review the complaint to determine whether is falls under its jurisdiction. All complaints falling under the City of Burbank’s jurisdiction will be investigated as quickly as possible. All other complaints outside of the City of Burbank will be referred to the appropriate agencies. A written notice of findings will be provided upon completion of the investigation.
