At the Burbank Animal Shelter, our mission as a socially conscious shelter is to prioritize the welfare, dignity, and quality of life of all animals in our care. In partnership with the Volunteers of the Burbank Animal Shelter, we are committed to finding loving homes for every adoptable animal, providing medical and behavioral support to ensure they thrive, and working closely with our community to promote responsible pet ownership.
While we are dedicated to saving as many lives as possible, we are committed to making compassionate decisions for animals that cannot be rehabilitated or would suffer unnecessarily. Our approach balances the needs of the individual animal with the responsibility to ensure public safety and maintain the well-being of our community.
We are dedicated to creating a humane, ethical, and sustainable environment where every animal is treated with respect. We are committed to transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement in our practices. By fostering partnerships, educating the public, working with owners to keep their pets in their homes, providing resources such as vaccine clinics and a spay/neuter rebate program and advocating for animal welfare, we aim to create a compassionate community where every animal receives the care and love they deserve.
