Volunteer Coaches are Needed!

All youth teams are coached by volunteers looking to make a difference in the lives of children. The Parks & Recreation Department strives to find a team for each child interested in gaining a sports experience that is fun and enriching. Volunteers are needed at every level with varying skill sets. Training resources and certifications are available. Your time is a valuable asset to teach life skills to children such as teamwork, confidence, work ethic, and perseverance. 

Requirements:

• LiveScan background check - offered through the City of Burbank office

• National Center for Safety Initiatives (NCSI) background check - link provided by Sports Office staff

• NYSCA Coaches Certification  

• Register with the Burbank Volunteer Program (BVP)
